Study Shows Low Carb Diet May Prevent, Reverse Age-Related Effects Within the Brain

Brain changes associated with aging become visible much earlier than would be expected, in the late 40’s.

This is hypothesized to result from neurons’ loss of energy; if so, researchers may have found a way to prevent or reverse these effects.

This can be done with diet, by switching neurons’ fuel from glucose to ketones. Ketones have previously been shown to increase the availability of energy to the heart. However, this is the first evidence that a similar benefit may be achieved for the brain.

Hey Everyone – we just wanted to give everyone an update on how things are going here at Rom Family Chiropractic!

We are still here, still serving the community and helping people boost immune function in this time of great stress and uncertainty. We are keeping the office extra clean & sanitized—wiping down all surfaces consistently and wiping down tables after every adjustment. We even have cleaning products in the rooms, if you feel more comfortable doing it yourself.

Our office is a place of health, healing and support, and we want to focus on what we DO KNOW and what YOU and YOUR FAMILY can DO to lower stress and build your best health!!

NOTE: Normally, we encourage patients to come in and get adjusted if they are expressing viral symptoms. At this time, for the safety of everyone, we are asking that if you are expressing these types of symptoms to please call us and reschedule your appointment. If you aren’t sure you should still come in, just call us and we will ask you a few questions over the phone to help make the best decision.
