The health and safety of our patients and team is our highest priority. We are continuing to schedule by appointment only to allow for the thorough cleaning of surfaces between visits. We are limiting the number of people in the office at any given time, and we are following other suggested guidelines for safety and prevention to ensure a clean, stress-free environment for everyone.

If this crisis has showed us anything it’s how important it is to have a high level of durable baseline health and resilience—now more than ever!

2020 was, in a word, exhausting. Survival was success in 2020. Stepping back for just a moment of perspective on the year shows that the pervasive fear, anger, outrage, negativity, and finger pointing by itself was toxic. We have all been stressed. We have all been tested. One good thing about all of this is that stressing the system reveals the weak points–the most important areas we need to focus on in order to get better.

The new year is always a great time to focus on new beginnings, new goals, and renewed hope. We choose to focus on more optimism in 2021. We choose to focus on more kindness, more courage, more tolerance, more understanding, more gratitude, more hard work, and more optimism so that we can build more health, happiness and success. We hope you will join us on this journey–to make it a truly happy new year!

Minimal Shoes Improve Stability and Mobility in Persons with a History of Falls

Less shoe, more stability: wearing minimal shoes and being barefoot is more beneficial for postural stability than wearing conventional shoes.

Postural and walking instabilities have been recognized as major risk factors for frequent falls in older adults.

Highly structured and supportive shoes may limit the sensory input to the brain and affect the control of gait, as the foot is not as susceptible to changes in shape, pressure and touch as walking barefoot.

It’s all about proprioception – the communication between the body and the brain. Chiropractic can help with this too!!

Our offices will continue to see patients BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. This will allow us to space out visits and allow for minimizing contact. 

We are still here, still serving the community and helping people in this time of great stress and uncertainty. We are keeping the office extra clean & sanitized—wiping down all surfaces consistently as well as wiping down tables after every adjustment. We even have cleaning products in the rooms, if you feel more comfortable doing it yourself.

NOTE: Normally, we encourage patients to come in and get adjusted if they are expressing viral symptoms. At this time, for the safety of everyone, we are asking that if you are expressing these types of symptoms to please call us and reschedule your appointment. If you aren’t sure you should still come in, just call us and we will ask you a few questions over the phone to help make the best decision.
