Chronic diseases like cardiovascular disease, COPD, asthma, hypertension, diabetes and obesity are all the biggest risk factors for having the most serious cases of COVID-19. And what is the common thread in all of these chronic diseases? Chronic inflammation! One of the biggest triggers of chronic inflammation is the food you eat!

Given these facts, and the fact that about 70% of immune system tissue is concentrated in the gut anyway–you  can do a lot of good, or a lot of harm to your gut and immune system with every meal!
